Neues aus Casa Limón
At Casa Limón, our commitment to sustainable garden design continues consistently:
we have removed all existing gravel areas in the garden and completely replaced them with soil. Grass has then been sown and ground-cover plants added to bring more natural beauty and vitality back to the garden. 🌾✨
🌼 Why green spaces offer so much more than gravel:
👉 Better microclimate:
Lawns and ground-cover plants cool their surroundings through evaporation far more effectively than gravel areas, which tend to heat up significantly. This results in more pleasant temperatures in the garden – especially on hot summer days. ☀️🌿
👉 More life for nature:
Green areas provide habitats for insects, microorganisms and soil-dwelling organisms. Pollinators such as bees in particular benefit from a more natural environment. 🐝🌸
👉 Better water management:
Unlike gravel, planted soil can absorb and retain rainwater. This reduces runoff, supports the environment and supplies plants with moisture in a sustainable way. 💧🌍
👉 Healthier soil:
Plants protect the soil from drying out, erosion and compaction, while improving soil quality in the long term – an important contribution to a stable ecosystem. 🌱
👉 A more harmonious look:
Green areas appear softer, more vibrant and far more inviting than sterile gravel surfaces. The garden now blends even more naturally into the Mediterranean surroundings of Casa Limón. 🏡💚
With this redesign, we are consciously choosing more nature, greater sustainability and enhanced comfort – for our guests as well as for the environment. 🌿🍋
Stay tuned, as we will continue to invest in a well-maintained, thoughtfully designed and nature-friendly Casa Limón in the future! 📸✨
